What in the World is HAFA?

HAFA is the short form for Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program. It’s a program meant to offer homeowners options other than foreclosure by providing lender’s with incentives to consider these alternatives. It is in effect from April 5, 2010 to December 31, 2012.
